Salutations,

Welcome back to The Bard! I’m Ruth Almodal, the second Editor-in-Chief of The Bard.

Throughout our first year of operation, we were amazed at the quality and quantity of the submissions we received. Thanks to your support and love, our creative community has absolutely flourished like a healthy snake plant, risen like banana bread, and come together like a thousand-piece jigsaw puzzle.

Despite the rather unexpected way 2020 turned out, we made the most of it. We continued to inspire and be inspired from the comfort of home. We’ve found ourselves exceeding our expectations and discovering new frontiers. This ethos of hope and persistence is one that we resolve to uphold for years to come.

We are eager to get the first of our 2021 submissions out for you to read from a diverse range of authors, mediums, and subject matters.

Whether you express yourself through poetry, painting, photography or something else, The Bard is the place to be heard and be seen. We’re ready for your story.
